Dubois Norman is Professor of Social and Community Development and Director of the Centre for International Social and Community Development in the Department of Social Work Studies. His interests include school social work, child and adolescent welfare and counseling, clinical practice, and the role of spirituality in social work. Dubois Norman practiced as a school social worker for 6 years and worked for 4 years in community mental health. His books include, Human Growth and Development, Essential Theory for Social Work Practice, The Philosophical Foundations of Social Work, Child Protection and Values and Ethics in Social Work. He has a considerable writing and publishing track record, for example as author of Social Policy for Social Work, editor of Foundations of Health and Social Care.
