Ashton Blanchard is Professor of Micro Economics. He has obtained his bachelor of statistics (Hons.) as well as her Masters from the National Statistical Institute, and also his doctorate from the same institute. For a long time, he has been associated in various research and teaching positions with the Statistical Institute. He has been a visiting professor in many universities. He is a prolific writer and a regular participant in academic and policy debates. His research includes work on price adjustment, consumer behavior, financial markets, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic growth.
